Los Padres -- Sycamore and up the Sisquoc 4-18 - danhall's gallery (con't.)
The next morning I continued upstream and the character of the trail changed. From Sycamore to Heath I had found only 12 blowdowns across the trail that need to be sawed out. From Heath upstream to Lower Bear Camp, however, I found almost 200. I will post here only a few photos of them to give a little idea of the situation. As part of a report to help with trail maintenance, the complete set of photos is at http://tinyurl.com/ycl9qgd2 for those interested. If you are, there is already one team of LPFA volunteers heading there to start sawing as this is posted and two more such outings are scheduled in coming weeks; you can volunteer to help by contacting LPFA at INFO@LPForest.org
